A traditional painting artist with accounting background in which I worked as a cashier then inheriting my father’s profession I started painting. Now I have become the only and the first woman artist of this type of traditional painting art and member of the Ethiopian Visual Artists Association, I have received a letter of acknowledgement from the association which confirms my previous statement of being the only woman traditional painting artist. I have participated in several art exhibitions including my first exhibition in which I organized and displayed my works together with my father.
Main Participations:
Participated in a training project organized by ‘Mereb Events’ as an Art Teacher of Mixing and preparing paints, preparing the parchment canvas and how to paint on the parchment for students between the age 7-15 years old 8/7/2020 G.C. – 5/9/2020 G.C.
Displayed my work at the one week display event which took place at the Radisson Blu hotel. 8/2/2020 G.C.
Displayed my work in the art exhibition called Tebeb Le Selam (Art for Peace) held at Addis Ababa Museum. 3/1/2020 G.C.
Participated in the exhibition project ‘Free Art Felega – Identity No. 4 by Yenatfenta Abate’ at the School of Fine Arts and Design. 08/2019 G.C.
Contributed my work for sale in an art exhibition organized by the Society and the Ethiopian Visual Arts Association in collaboration with the Ethiopian Red Cross Society under the motto “Art for Humanity” to support internally disabled people. In the presence of the E.F.D.R.E President W/ro Sahlework Zewde, I have displayed my work on the art exhibition that took place at Addis Ababa Millennium Hall and organized by the E.F.D.R.E Ministry of Revenue. 01/2019 G.C.
I have displayed my unique work on which including the E.F.D.R.E President W/ro Sahlework Zewde and other government representatives placed their signature on the map of Ethiopia which shows the unity of all Ethiopians on the celebration of the Ethiopian Peoples Nations and Nationalities day that took place at Addis Ababa Stadium. 08/12/2018 G.C.
